Making an Appointment

When making an appointment:

Please remember the best way to minimize the time you have to wait to be seen is to schedule an appointment. Walk-in/same-day visits for ill or injured students are available, however the clinic can be crowded. Walk-in hours are from 9 –11 a.m.  and –3:30 p.m. Staff is not available during the noon hour for lunch. Once SHS is full and no other appointments are available at the clinic for same-day care, the center’s staff will assist patients in obtaining a subsequent appointment or direct patients to other local health care resources, if needed. You can come in early, call (951) 827-3031, or use our online appointment system during the day to see if a same-day appointment is available. Wait times tend to be significant during the end of most days.

Student Health Services (SHS) is located between the Lothian, Aberdeen-Inverness, and Pentland Hills Residence Halls, which can limit parking for clients of SHS. Please arrive early and, if possible, walk from other parking lots for your visit. We recommend arriving on campus at least 30 minutes before your appointment.

Failure to cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance or late arrival will result in a $20–40 missed-appointment charge per appointment (depending on visit type) that is added to your R'Web account, so be sure to arrive on time. Appeals of this fee are available and up to provider discretion.
