Attention UCR Students: Book Your Appointment Online with UCR Student Health!

We're excited to announce that you can now schedule appointments with our nurses online! Whether you're a USHIP, GSHIP, or Highlander Care member, our team is here to assist you.

Use our online portal to book appointments for:
- Acute triage: Receive an initial assessment for any non-emergency health concern.
- Medication questions: Consult with our nurses about your medications.
- Urinary tract infection (UTI) screen: Get screened for a UTI and discuss treatment options.
- Other miscellaneous acute care needs: We offer care for various non-emergency health concerns.

Additionally, nurse appointments include contraception services, including emergency contraception and oral contraceptive pill refills.

  • Come visit us in the new Student Health and Counseling Center on the first floor!
  • Hours of Operation are Mon. Tues. Wed. and Fri. 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Thurs. 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
  • Last routine appointment is scheduled at 4:15 p.m. every day.
  • To make an appointment, log on to the patient portal. Check-in to your appointment in the new building on the first floor.

What to do and bring to your Appointment

  • Check-in to your appointment in the new Student Health and Counseling Center on the first floor.
  • If you have a fever of 100.4°F or greater, a cough, or a sore throat, it is strongly advised to wear a mask.
  • Bring a photo ID, license, or passport.
  • Check-in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
  • Snap a photo of your car's license plate for a parking permit using the QR code at the building entrance.
 

How to Cancel or Reschedule an Appointment

  • To avoid a fee for not showing up, please visit the patient portal and cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled time.
  • Please check in 15 minutes early for your appointment to avoid a no-show fee for missing it. There is no late grace period. 

SHS Policy on Service Animals

Service dogs are welcomed at Student Health Services (SHS). For safety reasons, SHS staff is not permitted to take care of service animals while you receive care. Please make dog care arrangements prior to your appointment date and time.

Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
