The primary care clinic at UC Riverside Student Health Services (SHS) offers primary care services to UC Riverside Students. Our clinic is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and is staffed by board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses.
We offer primary care including diagnosis and treatment of most acute and chronic disorders, management of injuries, and preventative health services focusing on your health maintenance and disease prevention. We also offer comprehensive laboratory services through our in-house lab which is a state-licensed, CLIA-certified, and COLA-accredited lab that is staffed by licensed clinical lab scientists.
You can come to SHS for physical exams for routine health maintenance as well as for Education Abroad programs. SHS also features specialty clinics including Women's Health, Travel Clinic, Dental Clinic, and Endocrinology Services from UCR Health.
SHS is open to currently enrolled UCR undergraduate and graduate students. We accept the University of California’s Student Health Insurance Plan (UCSHIP) and Highlander Care. Students who opt out of these programs can receive services at SHS for a fee.
Students under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian consent to receive treatment at Student Health Services. Please complete this consent to treat a minor form and upload to your patient portal.
